Sales Manager



​Picnic makes high impact mobile ad formats that don’t ruin the users’ experience. Our format, Stories, delivers a Promoted Story experience (like Instagram) but served mid-article on premium mobile publishers. This Stories format is served on Picnic’s AMP Ad Marketplace, the first network of exclusively AMP (Google’s ‘Accelerated Mobile Pages’) inventory. Both these innovations form the foundation products that will allows us to grow into a global adtech business. We’re a small, young team but with deep industry and technology experience. Based in a lovely office in Clerkenwell, we are funded by a group of experienced mobile advertising angels.


​Picnic is seeking a Sales Manager to be one of first commercial hires at our exciting, fast growing startup. The successful candidate will be an expert digital salesperson, with a proven track record in media advertising sales and a strong understanding of the adtech ecosystem. Reporting in to the CEO, you will be responsible for making sure the whole market knows about Picnic’s innovative, market leading high-impact ad products. The ideal candidate will be passionate about joining a genuinely entrepreneurial company, having the opportunity to become an integral part of our hugely ambitious team as we grow in the UK and then international markets.


Deliver world class numbers

  • Consistently exceed company group and personal sales targets

Lead and Develop:

  • Set the company’s vision and ambitions by helping to define targets and goals
  • Become a mentor and sales leader as the sales team grows.

Product Knowledge:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Picnic’s product, as well as a broad knowledge of competitor products in market
  • Work closely with CEO and CTO to develop our commercial and product offering


  • Proven experience in selling and closing digital advertising deals and exceeding revenue targets
  • Extremely strong relationships across a broad set of London agency groups
  • Good to have - expertise in mobile, social, high-impact or brand advertising
  • Highly motivated, organised and excellent communication skills
